Update: pCloud Black Friday sale is offering lifetime 500GB and 2TB storage for $122.50 and $245 only. If you find this too restrictive, pCloud is your best option offering end-to-end encrypted cloud without limiting file size or data transfers. Uploading and downloading both affect this limit. Like many other cloud companies, Icedrive restricts how much data can be transferred within a certain period of time. Icedrive supports WebDAV protocol for all paid plans, in case you wanted to know that. Icedrive says it’s working for a way that would allow users to share encrypted files. This ends up compromising the very privacy you were using the cloud for. There’s currently no way to share encrypted files as doing so would mean sharing your key with the people you are sharing a file with. You can choose to automatically upload your phone’s camera roll, too. For smartphones, the cloud has fast, responsive apps that let you preview/stream files. I would definitely go with pCloud as my primary backup solution as they are already established cloud providers. With crypto LT subscription my 1 TB pCloud plan values at 185$. I think they have to reconsider their prices too, atleast until they gain more customers.Ģ TB plan on pCloud is 350$ which makes their 1 TB 175$ (though they do not have 1 TB plan, but still that’s what their plan value is)Īnd they always give offers too, like I got my 2TB LT pCloud plan for 245$, which makes 1 TB just 122.5$ which is cheaper than the IceDrive. It’s good for your mobile backups (photos & videos) which are not that important.īut I DO NOT recommend them to store your important documents. They would require atleast one year more to stabilize every basic operations and run smoothly. I know, they have only started this year.īut with lots of technical issues I don’t recommend them to be your main cloud storage. When you try to rename files & folders, it won’t allow at times, may allow after you try multiple times.Įncrypted file option is good. And without any option to check the folder details its headache at times) So you’re not sure if all the files are uploaded or not. (When you upload lots of files, most times the progress bar hangs and stops at some random percentage. There are lots of basic function issues they need to fix.įolder downloading is not possible on Icedrive, which is a huge problem. They have a very long way to go to reach anywhere near the big guys like Onedrive, Google Drive, Dropbox and pCloud.
